Preferred Choice for Commercial Roofs

Mastercraft has established themselves over time as the roofing contractor of choice by multiple general contractors and property owners.

Whether Mastercraft is working directly with a building owner, property manager or as a subcontractor, we believe that the following are key elements to ensuring a successful and smooth project.

  • Having a DEPENDABLE roofing contractor or subcontractor allows the building owner or general contractor to turn their attention to other aspects of the project.
  • Subcontractors that PERFORM ON SCHEDULE AND ON BUDGET are the subcontractors that the general contractor will form a relationship with return to again and again.

  • Working PROACTIVELY to address problems and issues as opposed to reactively trying to solve them.

  • COMMUNICATION should be truthful, honest, and timely.

Type Of Applications

STEEP SLOPE ROOF SYSTEMS
This application is appropriate for roofs that have slopes of 3:12 or greater. The most common steep slope application is the asphalt shingle. Concrete and slate tile are more common in residential construction but are also used in the steep slope commercial roofing. Metal can be used in both steep slope and low slope applications. Typically, you will see the steep slope systems in the commercial sector on hotels, apartments, and/or retirement homes.

FLAT ROOF SYSTEMS
These systems are the most common for use on commercial structures. They have virtually no slope and are intended to protect the building from moisture and can support the mechanical and electrical equipment for the building. There are several different types of flat roof systems:

TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) and PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride)
This application is a thermoplastic membrane roof system that is white and is highly reflective. These systems are extremely resistant to ultraviolet light and to chemicals, it is puncture and tear resistant, and lightweight which makes this type of roof system ideal for industrial facilities, restaurants, and many other commercial structures.

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer)

MODIFIED-BITUMEN

BUR (Built – Up)
This application is one of the oldest low slope systems.
